Wurth Steel Epoxy Stick

This is a hand-kneadable, steel-reinforced epoxy putty designed for quick repairs on ferrous and aluminum metals. The curing agent is located in the center of the roll, and the putty-like consistency prevents drips and runs during application.

  • Shelf Stability: 24 months @ 75°F   
  • Compression Strength: 12,000 psi (ASTM D-695)   
  • Lap Shear Tensile Strength:
    • Steel: 800 to 1,000 psi (ASTM D-2240)
    • Aluminum: Not specified
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, esters, halocarbons, aqueous salt solutions, and dilute acids and bases.   
  • Temperature Limitation:
    • Continuous: 250°F
    • Intermittent: 300°F

Application Instructions

  1. Surface Preparation: Clean the surface, removing grease and any loose material. Pre-roughening the surface improves adhesion.   
  2. Mixing: Cut the required amount of epoxy stick and knead it with your fingers until a uniform color is achieved.
  3. Application: Apply the mixed epoxy to the prepared surface.

Important Note: Use only with adequate ventilation.
